Sneak Peak

Almost done! I've been working on this paper bag mini for too long! But just look how thick this baby is!! I used FIVE bags for it and made photo minis for the pockets. When it is done I'll let you know how many pictures I have in it. I need to add covers, and work on some embellishing then I'll post more pictures!
Have a great rest of the day! Thanks for visiting my blog.

Halloween Blog Hop

This is my first blog hop to participate in! Tresa Black made it so easy I just had to try it! Thank you Tresa! Visit Tresa's blog to see lots of FABULOUS artwork and to find out more about this cool blog hop tool she found!
I made this a couple years ago--but I just love getting it out when I do the Halloween decorations, it makes me smile! I have to give credit to Hilary Kanwischer, she inspired me way back when I made it. It is made with a cute little picket fence that you can get at the craft stores, I found this in the unfinished wood section. I painted chipboard, distressed it and stamped on it. The pumpkin, spider and bat are cut out and glued on. The letters are Dimensional Elements (z1048--wahhh--soon to be retired) that I spounged, and stamped with flourishes. CTMH has lots of cute ghost, spidery stuff and pumpkins to choose from to do this project.

Welcome Autumn

This is my favorite time of year! Although it is sad to see flowers start to wilt, I absolutely love cool, foggy mornings and mild temperature days. Looking forward to fall colors, pumpkins and corn mazes, autumn is a time for being outdoors. Yesterday we met up with some friends in Riss Canyon and played by a river. It was a cloudy day with on and off sprinkles but that didn't get in the way of the fun we had!

Thanks for checking in today! Have a good one.

Our New Addition

This little black ball of cuteness is why I haven't posted artwork lately! Meet Ace, the newest addition to our family. He is a miniature poodle and the sweetest little puppy! He is Marek's dog and for the most part, Marek does a good job of taking care of Ace. But I just can't get any work done when the puppy isn't napping and/or Marek is busy with school work.

This is a picture of Ace the day we brought him home and the reaction from the cats! Hally and Hank have bonded over the trauma of a puppy! They actually sit and lay down close to each other now. They are just really P.O.ed that the dog is inside and they aren't invited in for the party! (click on pictures to see them full size--especially the one with the cats-I think it's a pretty funny picture.)

I am working on a project; another paper bag mini album. It is taking me much longer than the first one I made. This one is a gift, and there are tons of pictures that will be in it. Maybe tomorrow I'll post some sneak peeks of the project.
That's all for now! Thanks for stopping by~~

A Blog Award!

I am doin' a little happy dance because I have been presented a Blog Award! I was admiring artwork on Heather R's blog and was reading her post about her excitement over the blog award she won and my chin just about hit the desk when I saw that she had passed the award onto me! WoW!! What a thrill! View Heather's blog here--she has beautiful artwork there!
Now here is what I have to do to accept the award:
1. Thank the person who gave it to you:
Heather, you made my day! Thank you so much for thinking of me when considering who to pass this onto. I see blog awards all the time, and just never considered that some day I would be receiving one!

2. Post the award on your blog:

3. Tell everyone the 3 things you love:
I love my family; my son for being the wonderful kid he is and my husband who works so hard so I am able to be a home schooling mom. I love autumn in Colorado! And I love the awesome network of friends I've made through Close to My Heart!

4. Post a picture you love:
This picture was taken last year on our annual "Fall Drive". We took a rather strenuous hike up a "hill" in Rocky Mountain National Park. Isn't he one cool mountain dude?

5. Pass the award onto 5 blogs you LOVE:
(ok--but so hard to do--there are so many I love and visit often!)

Karen Day - Kday Creations
Annette Green - Annette's Creative Journey
Amy - Amy's Art from the Heart
Jayma M.
Lorrinda - Isn't that Sweet?

So now go check out these beautiful blogs--these ladies are a constant source of inspiration for me!
